1. What is the Duluth Sail & Power Squadron?
The Duluth Sail & Power Squadron is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to promoting boating safety and education in the Duluth and Twin Ports area.

2. Do I need a boating safety certificate to operate a boat in Duluth?
Starting July 1, 2025, Minnesota will require all motorboat and personal watercraft operators born on or after July 1, 1987, to complete a boating safety course and obtain a certificate.

3. Where can I take a boating safety course?
You can take a certified boating safety course through the Duluth Sail & Power Squadron or other approved organizations. Visit our website for upcoming class dates.
